Description
Linley Weir is a beautifully versatile singer of Tongan-Scottish descent- not something you will hear every
day. Linley is one of the scene’s rising stars. Her subtlety of vocal shading and sheer musicality are delightfully easy to listen to, which added to an energy in performance that moves from smooth sophistication to raw edginess. She is an extremely impressive talent not to be missed featuring here in the premiere of her new project ‘Desires’
Singer, songwriter, performer of eclectic jazz, soul and blues, Linley impresses with professional ease whilst singing from the heart.
Her new CD Desires with Danny Keane (keyboards) Tom Fry (bass) and Brian Hedemann(drums) . A fusion of contemporary grooves this energetic album captures the essence of this creative and dynamic quartet.

Desires CD
“From the joyously swinging ‘I Saw Him Standing There’ (a brilliantly readapted Beatles tune) to the irresistible ‘A Certain Slant of Light,’ her honesty shines through, unafraid to bare a little part of herself to each listener. ‘Softly as in a morning sunrise’, captures the listener immediately: a magnetic piano riff, to finish, the beautifully understated ‘Desires’ is sung with hushed intimacy. It absolutely left me wanting more.”
