Biography

Louise is one of the most talented, exciting soul and funk singers on the UK music scene due to her considerable talents not just as a singer but also as a songwriter. She has one of the most distinctive and dynamic voices on the current UK scene. This combined with her warm and witty personality has made her a major new force.

In 2000 Louise had considerable success as a pop & dance vocalist going on several UK tours and having a string of hits including 2 UK no. 1's. She worked with several UK Producers including Malcolm McLaren and Andy Whitmore.

In 2004 following this success she teamed up with Winston Rollins of Jamiroquai and Jools Holland (also Brand New Heavies, InCognito etc.) and REAL was born (n.b.). She combines this with her own ongoing solo work.

Acid Jazz Records released Louise's first track “Lovechild” in 2005. Her solo album “Louise Pollock” is out on iTunes, and 2006 saw the release of REAL's debut album “Give Me A Reason” on Smooch Records and on Columbia Records, Japan, where the album reached #6 in the Jazz Chart & the single in the Top20 & Dance Remix at #10. Extensive airplay including BBC Radio2, SmoothFM, a superb debut at Ronnie Scotts in June 2007, and magazine and press features have already brought her considerable acclaim. REAL have a remixed album “Realized” out now and are due to release their next album “Love Crazy” in 2009.

Louise has great versatility as a performer, and that, combined with her vivacious personality and superb voice, has made her a major new force on the UK soulfunk scene. Since 2008 Louise has been presenting her own show at Ronnie Scott's Club every month with her new band Funk-Affair! to sellout audiences.
